NEBRASKA — Andrew Thompson Jr. was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Ester and Andrew Thompson on the 24th of May 1928. He passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of July 13, 2023, after a brief illness.

Andy was predeceased by his parents, his wife Virginia Ann (Ginny), his son William (Bill), his second wife, Barbara Pike, his son-in-law, Robert (Bob) Lobsiger Jr. and his siblings, George and Agnes.

He is survived by daughter, Susan Lobsiger of Gretna, Nebraska, stepdaughter, Lori Pike Shibles (Dwight) of Cum- berland, Maine, stepson, Todd Pike (Oscar) of Delray Beach, Florida, grandchildren and step grandchildren, Brianna Day (Nick), Alex Thompson (Amanda), Karlee Lobsiger, Elizabeth Shibles, Megan Shibles, and three beautiful great grandsons, Connor, Henry and Lucas.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, at the Harrison Village Cemetery in Harrison. An informal gathering of family and friends will follow.
