A. David Stein

LOUDON, TENN. — A. David Stein III, 77, of the Tellico Village Community in Loudon, Tenn. passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016.

David was a member of The Community Church at Tellico Village.

He was born in Waterbury, Conn. and was a longtime resident of Middlebury, Conn. David attended Worster Prep School, Bridgton High School and Hobart College. In 1998, David retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance after 30 years. He was an executive sales representative and Hall of Famer with Liberty Mutual. He and his wife moved to Tennessee, where he enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing and most of all people. “Everyone who knew him, loved him.”

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Hilde Stein; sister, Susan Timperly; brother, Jeffrey Stein; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of David’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at The Community Church at Tellico Village with the Rev. Dr. John R. Orr officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
