John F. Krol, 79, of Peabody, Mass., passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved son of the late William and Anna (Pedersen) Krol.

He was born on May 21, 1945, in Lynn, Mass., and spent much of his early life in Lynn before moving to Peabody with his family. He received a degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology and worked for many years as an aerospace engineer for General Electric.

John enjoyed outdoor activities and being out in nature. He especially liked golfing, skiing, and fishing. He also loved travelling. John split his time in his retirement between Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Sweden, Maine, where he had many contacts and friends in both locations.

In everything he did, John was always close to his family and would often take them with him on his many trips and excursions. He loved being an uncle, and he relished the opportunity to teach his nephews and nieces how to fish and ski.

John is survived by his nieces and nephews Benjamin of Peabody, Mass., Michael, John, Charles and Debbie all of Lynn, Mass., Billy of Danvers, Mass., Anne-Marie of Marblehead, Mass., and Cathy of Denver, Colo.

Sadly, in addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers William, Charles and James.
