Q. What do you believe are three keys to being a good student? What I believe to be the three keys to being a good student is to first stay consistent. I haven’t always stayedconsistent with my learning and staying on top of assignments and when I wasn’t I had to cram my schedulestaying after with teachers trying to fix up assignments. Another thing I believe is a key to being a goodstudent is to maintain a good relationship with your teachers. If you are struggling in their class, it helps tobe able to stay after with them and ask them questions even if it’s not for their class. The last thing I believeis to not take anything for granted. Every opportunity you’re given you should take as it may help you in thefuture.
Q. What is your favorite class and why? My favorite class was AP U.S. Government with Mr. Oren. It allowed me to have a better understanding ofthe U.S. government and made me much more interested in current events and political news. With the most
recent election, I have become more knowledgeable on what each candidate represented and the policies they were fighting for.
Q. Who is your favorite teacher and why? My favorite teacher is Mr. Oren who was my AP Government and Sociology teacher. Even though he wasteaching a government and politics class, he always taught us so we understood the reasoning to both sidesand this helped me better develop and understand my own opinions. How he made learning thesecomplicated concepts interactive also helped me succeed in the AP test when it came to that time.
Q. If you could change one thing about your educational experience, what would it be and why? One thing I would change about my educational experience is that I would have taken more time to gobeyond what I was doing in school. I didn’t really spend my free time with learning new things, but instead Ispent it on more trying to rest myself. Balancing rest and studying are a good thing, but I also think duringthose long summers I could’ve tried to read more or learn how to play the piano instead of doing the samething I did every summer.
