Thomas F. Ferent
Thomas Francis Ferent, 77, of Naples, and Marco Island, Fla. passed quietly in his sleep on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024.
He was originally from South Boston in the neighborhood of Dorchester.
He is predeceased by his parents Alphonse R. and Mary T. (Kalinowski) Ferent, his wife Ellen (Matulevich) Ferent and older brother Alphonse R. (Bob) Ferent.
Born in Boston and educated in Boston schools, Tom was a noted track and field athlete with many records to his credit. He was also the lead singer of The Boston Mass. His early career was spent in sales with a national company. When he moved to Maine, he took on the role of “Mr. Lakefront” and was an expert on lakefront homes and properties. Tom was also an active member in community
theater.
Along with his loving wife, Teresa Dyer of Bridgton, Tom is survived by his daughter Holly and three beloved grandsons, his sisters Mary Louise Sadowski of Braintree, Mass. and Carolyn A. Ratay of Huntington, LI, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Church (225 South High Street) in Bridgton on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at the Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree, Mass. at a later date.
