WATERFORD — Ernest A. Pike, 82, of Waterford passed away, Thursday, October 10, 2024 in the comfort of his home with his daughters by his side.

He was born in Norway, July 24, 1942, the son of Wendall and Frances Pike. He worked on the Alaskan Pipeline and retired to his home in Waterford where he enjoyed working outdoors on the farm and garden. You always could find him in the wood pile, splitting up wood for the winter. Ernest loved his farm that consisted of cows, chickens, pigs and his cat and beloved dogs. He loved to hunt, fish and sit in the barn and chat with whoever stopped by. He had a big heart and loved to help people. He will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts.

He leaves behind his three daughters Kelly Pike of North Waterford, Corri Blysma of Stoneham and Becky Pike of North Carolina; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; brother and sisters Thomas Pike of Florida, Brenda Bigonski and Marie Pike of Waterford and Joan Chrisman of South Paris.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 19 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the VFW/ Harrison Food Pantry in Harrison. Private interment will be in Elm Vale Cemetery, South Waterford. Online condolences may be shared with his family at www.chandlerfunerals.com.
