Help needed with Bridgton elections
Election Day help needed: Currently, the Town of Bridgton is accepting applications for volunteers to work the Nov. 5 Election during the morning shift, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those interested should fill out an application in the Clerk’s Office. Training will be provided.
To be eligible you:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be a registered Maine voter
• Must be a resident of the municipality
• Must not be a candidate or a member of a candidate’s immediate family.
The Clerk’s Office will be closing early Thursday, Oct. 10 at 3:30 p.m. to facilitate Election Staff training.
Ballots: The Town Office has received 170-plus Absentee Applications to date. Ballots will be received from the State by Oct. 5 to be sent to applicants. At this time, the town will also have Early Voting available in the municipal complex lobby.
Road Work: Public Services has prepped and paved North Road, Winn Road, Swamp Road, Plumbers Landing and Camp Pondicherrry Road.
Code Office Stats for August. Building permits issued include: 8 new residences, 1 sign, 9 tree removal, 2 mobile temp vendor, 1 dock, 3 roof mount solar array, 2 garage, 2 raze deck, 3 driveway entrance, 1 shed, 2 decks, 3 additions.
Plumbing permits: 8 internal plumbing, 7 septic, 7 connection to town sewer.
