Sharpshooters from the charity stripe
The Knights of Columbus District Free Throw Competition was held on Saturday, March 2 at Lake Region Middle School. It was hosted by the Bridgton/Fryeburg Council 11376.
Twenty-eight children competed, with representation from Bridgton, Casco, Naples, Poland, and Sebago.
The winners of each division qualified to compete in the Knights’ State Competition, which was held in Old Town this past Saturday, March 9.
The following shooters won their respective divisions:
• 9-Year-Old Girls: Kai Morton of Naples
• 9-Year-Old Boys: Oliver Diffin of Poland
• 10-Year-Old Boys: Kolton Perron of Poland
• 11-Year-Old Girls: Evelyn Perron of Poland
• 11-Year-Old Boys: Braxton Nicholas of Naples
• 12-Year-Old Girls: Ava Barrows of Casco
• 13-Year-Old Boys: Torin Parritt of Naples
• 14-Year-Old Boys: Elijah Crawford of Casco
Fun Fact: The Perron children were happy to inform Naples Recreation and Community Activities Director Brian Crockett that their mother is a past winner of this event, as well.
