Robert D. Ellis, 80, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at home with his loving family by his side.

He was born October 20, 1942, in Winthrop, a son of the late Arthur and Edith Ellis.

He attended school in Winthrop and went on to the University of Connecticut and completed his master’s at Syracuse University.

Robert married Eileen Adele Sullivan on November 27, 1980.

Robert worked as an executive in the insurance business. He loved to spend time with his family
and going out to dinner with many friends in Bridgton, and enjoyed vacationing on cruises where he made many friends. He also enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and skiing. He was a member of the Oriental Masonic Lodge # 13, in Bridgton.

He was predeceased by his loving and parents Arthur and Edith Ellis.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Adele Ellis and his son Stephen Ellis of Mass., beloved stepson George Roop, sister Barbara Clark, niece Robyn Clark, grandnephew Brooks Clark and grandniece Nakita Clark. The family would like to thank his caretaker Kovi for the excellent care of Robert.

Services were previously held on Monday, July 24, 2023. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Home, 8 Elm Street, Bridgton.
