SWEDEN — There will be a special town meeting at the Sweden Town Meeting Hall this Saturday, Sept. 25 at 9 a.m. Town residents are encouraged to attend for important discussions and decisions regarding annual winter road closures and a temporary moratorium on future solar projects. 

The Sweden Board of Selectman is also joining together with towns in SAD 72 to work for better broadband Internet service. All town residents are urged to take an Internet speed test to determine where better service is needed in town. The test only takes a few minutes and provides essential data that can be used to help obtain funding for new Internet infrastructure. Please go to www.mainebroadbandcoalition.org to take the test.
