Karen Busch, 66
CASCO — Karen Busch, 66, died at home on Sept. 9, 2021 following a brief illness.
Karen was born on Nov. 15, 1954, in Pittsburgh, Pa. She grew up in central Florida, then moved to Roseland, Fla., where she devotedly cared for her beloved grandmother, Betty Wilson, until her passing. She was dedicated to Harris Corporation, a defense contractor in Melbourne, Fla., for over thirty-five years.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Frank Chervenak; first husband, Glenn Percival, when she
was just 21; and then her loving husband, Ed Busch, of forty years, just five days prior to her passing.
Karen and Ed enjoyed living in Vero Beach, Fla., but moved to Maine 14 years ago, after four intense hurricanes. Karen loved being a “Mainer” and threw herself into activities in the Maine Wheels RV club, Women’s Guild and Christmas Fair at her spiritual home, Our Lady of Perpetual Help. She loved music and sang at church as well as many family events over the years, and also played the accordion. She rescued many dogs and once had four at the same time. Karen fiercely loved her friends and family, she was loyal and generous, and was intensely patriotic. Her main goal in her life was to hear from her Lord and Savior, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” as she entered Heaven’s gate.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Christine Neese (Mike) of South Carolina; granddaughters Della and Clara Neese; mother, Geraldine Chervenak of Georgia; sister, Carol Vogeney (Bill) of Colorado; nephew and Godson, Matthew Vogeny; sister Michelle Frink (Joe) of Georgia; niece Julie Frink; uncle Rodger Wilson; cousin and Godson, Ken Wilson; and many beloved cousins (Tomkos) and friends.
A joint graveside committal service for Karen and Ed will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at Arlington Cemetery in Windham, and may be viewed at https://vimeo. com/604225910/b48e830208.
