Dale Quimby

AUBURN — Dale Quimby, 52, of Brownfield passed away on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021, at Androscoggin Hospice House.

He was born April 15, 1969, in Bridgton, the son of Gerald, Jr. and Mary (Campbell) Quimby.

He was a jack-of-all trades. He started out at 16 working on a farm in Casco. He worked for plumbing and heating and was also an excellent carpenter. He also worked as an auto mechanic and was in the process of building his own garage with his father’s help. It would have been Quimby’s Garage. He offered helping hands to people in need. 

He lived most of his life in Casco. He moved to Brownfield in 2013 with his three dogs. Dale loved to hunt and fish.

Dale is survived by his father, Gerald Quimby Jr.; his mother, Mary Thompson; three sisters Sheila Warner, Jenny Bardsley and Chrissy Hibbard; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dale was predeceased by his wife, Judy Quimby; and his brother, Darren Quimby.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14, at Burnt Meadowbrook Cemetery, (near corner of Misty Lane and Fulcher Lane) in Brownfield.
