He was born on Nov. 5, 1932 in Wakefield, Mass., to Robert and Violet Bradbury. Ken grew up in Stoneham, Mass., with his older brother and younger sister. He graduated from Stoneham High School in 1950. After high school, Ken worked as a cabinetmaker and millworker for Filenes in Boston and the Christian Scientist Church in Boston. While working full-time, Ken attended Fitchburg State College at night and on weekends to earn his bachelor’s degree in Education. He moved with Marilyn to 32 acres on top of Mill Hill in South Waterford.

Ken and Marilyn were happily married for 50 years until Marilyn passed away in 2007. Ken enjoyed John Wayne westerns, learning about the Civil War, taking care of his spread in Maine, and spending time with his family. Ken was a skilled woodworker who took pride in doing quality work.
