Bradley C. Bartlett, 63

YARMOUTH — Bradley Clark Bartlett Jr., 63, left this world Monday, May 3, 2021, after fighting with all his might to beat lung disease.
Born in Norway on Oct. 27, 1957, Brad was one of seven children of Eunice and Bradley Bartlett Sr. He lived his life with gusto and a permanent twinkle in his eyes.
Brad graduated from Lake Region High School in 1976 and enlisted in the Army, where he served as a medical technician at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. He was active in many sports and excelled at softball, motorcycle racing, and would take on anyone when it came to darts. Brad was an expert skier; he competed and won many races at Shawnee Peak and The Red Parker Pub.
His zest for life was infectious and when Brad entered a room, his energy was impossible to ignore. He’d quickly take center stage telling stories of his adventures hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, rants about the wins and losses of the New England Patriots, and his opinions on the latest NASCAR races.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather Brad was a jack-of-all-trades who could move from helping one of his kids fix a car to whipping up a BBQ meal for anyone who happened to be visiting his house.
Brad’s generosity knew no bounds and he would do whatever he could whenever he could to help his family and friends — regardless of the need or request. When Brad saw someone who needed help, he was there, beside them, standing up for their rights. He was a true hero.
Brad loved to travel and whenever he did, he made friends for life wherever he went.
Brad worked as a FedEx contractor for more than 18 years, where he won numerous Maine State Driving Championships and he placed in the National Truck Driving Championships several times. While a contractor, he formed many lasting friendships and brought countless smiles to the faces of the people he served.
Brad is survived by his wife and love of his life, Olia Cobb; his bonus daughter, Adrianna; his sons Bradley III and Nicholas; his daughter, Caitlin; his mother, Eunice and stepfather Melvin Long; his sister, Betty; his brothers, Barry, Bruce, Brent, Ben and Byron. Brad will also be sorely missed by his grandchildren who always lit up his world; aunts, uncles; cousins, nephews and nieces; and countless friends who were caught up in his favorite pastime — living life to the fullest.
Visiting hours will be held at Lindquist Funeral Home, One Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth, on Thursday, May 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, May 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Brad’s life on Saturday, May 22 and will be live-streamed starting at 11 a.m. Please visit www.lindquistfuneralhome.com to access the link to join the livestreaming.
