Q. Why did you choose to play basketball? My parents signed me up for it and I really enjoyed it. I realized I had thepotential to be good one day.

Q. What do you enjoy most about sports? I’m extremely competitive and like physical activity so sports are the best of bothworlds.

Q. How has competing in sports changed you as a person? Mentally, I’ve learned to not let little things bother me and to never get rattled. Offthe court, I don’t get stressed out and I’m not bothered by many things.

Q. During this period of Covid-19, what has been the most difficult adjustment and what have you been doing to occupy your time? During the summer, gym time was impossible to get. I was used to being in the gym almost every day before COVID, but now I am lucky to find any gym time at all. I was able to keep myself occupied by lifting weights and fishing every day.

Q. What is your favorite sports memory? Beating Greely my senior night and beating Maranacook my junior year.

Q. What is your most disappointing sports memory? Losing in the playoffs my junior year. That really salted my apples.

Q. How has sports prepared you for your future? Basketball has helped me with goal setting and motivation. I know if I want toaccomplish something whether that’s on or off the court it’s going to take hardwork and dedication, which are things I am going to need the rest of my life.

Q. Name a coach who has made a difference in your life and in what way? Ryan Martin has been my coach for two years and not only has he elevated my gameto another level, but we just had a great relationship since day one. He is more thana coach to me now. He is a friend that I can talk to about anything, anytime and hewill always tell me the right things, even if it’s not what I want to hear.

Q. What are your future goals? I am going to Bridgton Academy next year and after that I plan on going to collegecontinuing to play basketball.
