David Leddy, 71
AUBURN — David Leddy, 71, of Bridgton passed away on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 at Androscoggin Hospice House.
He was born on June 12, 1949 to Thomas and Dorothy Kirk Leddy in Springfield, Mass. He attended Cathedral High School in Springfield, Mass. and took some college courses at University of Southern Maine. He faithfully served our country in the United States Army. He married Geraldine Kraus on Feb. 16, 2003
David was a carpenter and taught construction at Lake Region Vocational Center for 19 years before retiring. He was very proud to have built his own home, he loved using his hands to build, construct and finish things, and he was always busy. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his beloved dog Obie, spending time at the ocean, but most importantly he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife; his two stepchildren, Rebecca Engelmann and Ruth Joyce; his two sisters, Beth Bukaviskas and Barbara Goglin; three brothers, Tim Leddy, Kevin Leddy and Chris Leddy; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Kathleen Ellis.

In lieu of flowers, The Dave Leddy scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding senior(s) in Construction Technology at Lake Region Vocational Center. This scholarship will be used for helping with post-secondary tuition costs, or be used for purchasing tools for those who may go directly into the trade.
