FARMINGTON — Gwendolyn Charmaine Adams, 83, of Livermore, formerly of Bridgton, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

Gwen was born on March 9, 1937, in Bridgton, a daughter of Newman and Madeline (Moran) Blanchard Sr., and attended Bridgton schools.

Gwen lived in various places throughout her life including Bridgton, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Windham, Naples, Casco and most recently in Livermore.

As a young woman, she worked at the shoe shop in Bridgton and many restaurants as a waitress including Percy’s in Bridgton. Always a customer favorite, Gwen enjoyed the work very much and was always ready with a joke with her quick wit.

Gwen was a tremendous cook, enjoyed the company of her dogs and keeping plants. Her charm was infectious and she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by a son, Robert Frank Jr. and his wife, Tammelyn of Westbrook, and Denise Frank of Alaska; a brother, Newman Blanchard Jr. and his wife, Debbie of Livermore; five grandchildren, Ethan, Elizah, Katie, Ryan and Amanda; nephew, Bryan Blanchard; dear friend and neighbor, Lynn Durling.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Adams, whom she married in the late 1980s; a son, Dennis Frank; twin granddaughters; a sister, Sue Townsend.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020 at the Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road in Casco. Private interment will be at the Forest Hills Cemetery in Bridgton. Kind words may be shared with her family and friends at www. hallfuneralhome.net.
