Donna M. Corson, 80
CASCO — Donna M. (Wakefield) Corson 80, of Casco, passed peacefully after a short illness on Sept. 26, 2020.
She was born in Lovell, on Dec. 3, 1939, to Wilbur and Frances (Larsen) Wakefield.
Surviving are her husband, Doane Corson; children, Debra Paul (Marco Philippon), Donald Paul Jr. (Donna Paul), and Danielle Allen, daughter-in-law Jodi Paul; sister, Phyllis Bedard Adams, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her son, Darren Paul; brothers, Arthur Wakefield, Kenneth Wakefield and David Wakefield and sister, Ann Allen Leland.
Donna owned and operated the Cut & Curl Beauty Shop in Naples for many years. She had many activities that she enjoyed including dancing, painting, knitting, needlework, cooking, reading and stopping at yard sales. She met Doane because of their mutual love of dancing. Her family benefitted from many homemade gifts. Donna was an excellent cook and her grand- children always looked forward to the fresh homemade rolls she would make for family meals.
During retirement, she and Doane loved to travel and spent several years visiting many places throughout the country in their motor home. They spent their winters in Florida and summers split between Casco and Wyman, Maine. Another favorite activity was while at their camp in Wyman was picking wild Maine blueberries.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road in Casco. Please understand that masks will be asked to be worn and that those in attendance be mindful of social distancing.
