Robert Edward Davidson, 84, of Greenville, S.C. and formerly of Center Conway, N.H., went to be with his Savior on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020.
He was born May 5, 1935, to Charles Ezra and Edna Henrietta (Fernald) Davidson in Center Conway, N.H.
Robert and his wife, Mary, owned Ballou’s Dept. Store in Conway, N.H., before moving to South Carolina, where he operated a lawncare business for many years. He was an avid sportsman and deer hunter, and an active member of Trinity Bible Church in Greer, S.C.
In addition to his wife of 66 years, Mary Ella Barton Davidson, he is survived by six children, Robert W. Davidson of Zanesville, Ohio, Donnie S. Davidson of Fryeburg, Penny S. Nelson of Fryeburg, Audrey H. Huot of Fryeburg, Bettyjane D. Hatch of Greenville, S.C., and Susan M. Norcross of Tamworth, N.H.; a brother, Richard A. Davidson of Center Conway, N.H.; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles William Davidson.
