Player of the Week: Matt Fitzpatrick

Matt Fitzpatrick

For a first timer, Matt Fitzpatrick has done quite well in indoor track & field competition.

“Matt adjusted well. He picked up on the drills and routines quickly. Matt has had success this year in the sprints and long jump. He has the most PRs (personal records) on the boys’ team and is always interested in running on the relay,” Lake Region Coach Mark Snow said. “We are very happy he joined us this season and look forward to having him on the outdoor team this spring.”

In recognition of his strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Matt is this week’s Boosters and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.” Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability, and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed t-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.
