Clifford E. Eng, 91
Clifford Eugene Eng, 91, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020.
He was born on Aug. 9, 1928, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Clifford was a real family man, devoted to being the very best husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His life was a busy, well-lived life. He enjoyed spending time with close friends and family. He will be greatly missed by lives touched throughout the years.
Clifford enlisted and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1953. He attended and graduated from Salmon P. Chase College (associates degree 1955 and bachelor’s degree in 1956) and the University of Cincinnati (1971, master’s degree), Phi Delta Kappa. He was an accomplished educator as a high school teacher and administrator, retiring C.P.S. – 1990.
As an avid reader, he enjoyed the study of nutrition, organic gardening, history and summers in Maine, especially Men’s Bible Studies. He was a lifetime member of F.G.B.M. and DESA, attending many of the conventions.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Ada; sons David of Naples and Michael of Fryeburg; daughter, Darlene E. Powers of Maineville, Ohio; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his sister Ruth Newel; a nephew and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Martha; a sister, Dorothy; an infant brother born in 1927; and a niece.
