He had also been employed for several years, by TD Bank North, formerly Andover Bank.
John Hartley will be remembered for his knowledge and love of cars. Owning classic automobiles, he enjoyed working on them himself and cruising in New England with his wife. He treasured spending time in Maine and New Hampshire: fishing the Androscoggin River in Errol, N.H., boating on Long Lake in Naples, golfing on the several courses around the Lake Region, and snowmobiling around the Connecticut Lakes in N.H.; sharing so many memorable experiences with friends and family. He could be counted on for a good story about past events with others, remembering the minutest details. He touched many lives, collecting countless friendships, with his thoughtfulness, kindness, gentleness, sense of humor and overall positive attitude, especially through his illness.
