Georgie Anna Knight, 57, passed away unexpectedly at a Bangor hospital.

Georgie was born on April 26 1962 in Norway to George C. And Rae Knight. She grew up in Connecticut and Naples. She went to school in the Lake Region school district, graduating from high School in 1981. One of her fondest memories was winning four gold medals at Special Olympics.

Georgie loved to travel. She will be remembered for her fun-loving sense of adventure.

Georgie’s final act was to give the gift of life through organ, eye and tissue donation.

She is survived by five siblings, Ruth Bartlett of Sanford, Debra Lavigne of Biddeford, Stephanie Small-Whitley of Oxford, Betty J. Edwards of Harrison and Brian Knight of Waterboro; four aunts, cousins many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at Edes Fall Community Hall, Naples from 1 to 4 p.m.
