Stephen F. McNally Jr., 86
NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. — Stephen F. McNally Jr., 86, passed away peacefully at the Meadows Health Center in North Andover, Mass., on Wednesday, July 10, 2019.
He was a dedicated teacher and coach at Georgetown High School for more than 30 years.
He was a longtime resident of North Andover, Mass., and a summer resident of Bridgton (Moose Pond) for the past 45 years.
Stephen was born in Lawrence, Mass., to the late Stephen F. and Margaret (Brandy) McNally. He graduated from Central Catholic High School, Merrimack College and the University of Massachusetts. He served in the U.S. Army and was the Math Department Head, varsity baseball coach and the president of the Georgetown Education Association.
Stephen is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol (Downs) McNally; his four children, Christopher, Michael, Margaret and Stephen; and seven grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; and by his grandson.
A private family service was held at the Conte Funeral Home in Massachusetts on July 16, followed by interment with military honors at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, Mass.
