WATERFORD — Harriet Ada Osgood, 84, of Waterford, left peacefully in her sleep on Monday, June 3, 2019, at her home.

She was born in Naples on Nov. 26, 1934, the daughter of Chester Arthur and Angie Fidelia Whitam Hoyt. She had been employed at Bridgton Hospital as a C.N.A. for 25 years. She was a former member of the local grange. Harriet loved her family, people and gardening. She was an avid reader and Halloween was very special to her.

Harriet is survived by two sons, Linwood Charles Osgood and Keith Allen Osgood; three daughters, Karen Elaine Grover, Samantha Ann Irish and husband Jerry, and Melinda Jean Ferguson and husband Mark; her pet life partners, Jasmine and Quincy; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her sisters, Phyllis Mae McConkey and Grace Shane; a son-in-law, Mike; a daughter-in-law, Callie; and her husband Robert Osgood.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m., at the Edes Falls Cemetery in Naples. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Bridgton Hospital Guild, Attn: Twitchell Cafe, 10 Hospital Drive, Bridgton, ME 04009. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 8 Elm Street, Bridgton.
