Team Long Run’s FROZENFIVE Race on Highland Lake takes place this Saturday, Feb. 16 at 11:30 a.m. at Highland Lake Beach. It’s a feature of the Greater Bridgton Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce Winter Carnival.

“This year, we’ve made a change that we’re very excited about: participants can choose to snowshoe, ski or run with micro spikes. We think this makes it an extremely fun one-of-a-kind event,” said Race Director Chuck Wilcoxen (Team Long Run).

Hayes True Value Hardware in Bridgton has donated prizes for all three race categories. 

The racecourse is set entirely on the lake, consisting of a 5K (3.1-mile) loop, with fantastic views of Mt. Washington on the back side of the course. The entry fee for adults is $20. As always, kids under age 16 race for free. Proceeds benefit Team Long Run, a Maine-based nonprofit for kids.
