Player of the Week: Ryan Walker

Why did you choose to play golf? My dad took me to a golf course as soon as I could hold a club and I’ve been there ever since.
What is the most difficult part of the game? The most difficult part about golf is being able to control the distance on all of your shots.
What do you enjoy the most about golf? The thing I love most about golf is that everything about your round can change with just one shot.
What do you feel you need to work on and why? I need to work on my chipping and putting because those are what affect your score the most.
Why is teamwork important? Teamwork is important during practice to make sure that everyone is making smart decisions about what type of shots to play.
What is the biggest impact your coach has had on you? The biggest impact my coach has had on me is showing me how to take every round one shot at a time.
How do you want people to view you as an athlete? I want people to see me as someone who is determined to get better every day.
Ten years from now, when you look back on your high school sports career, what do you think you will remember most? In 10 years, I think I’ll remember going to States, more than anything else.
