Judy Warren

Judy A. Warren, 65, of Bridgton, passed away at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014. She was born, one of five children of Kempton B. and Doris Audrey VanDine Smith. Judy attended schools in Manchester, N.H. and Bath, and graduated from Lake Region High School in Naples.
She married Donald H. Warren, of Bridgton, in 1971. Along with their two children Kenneth and Stacey, they fostered two teenage boys, Anthony and Bruce Morrison until their graduations from high school. Judy and Don were active in the Jaycees and both worked for the local shoe shop. Judy enjoyed spending countless hours in her gardens and attending various antique auctions throughout the state with her husband. They also ran several businesses together in Bridgton, including numerous antique shops and D&J's catering. Their catering business made daily breakfast and lunch runs to Pleasant Mountain Moccasin for 15 years until the shoe shop closed.
Family was everything to Judy and she loved spending time playing games or just visiting. One of her favorite things was to host the family's holiday gatherings and finish the day with a competitive game of cards, where everyone could have fun and tease each other about their game play. Even through the tough times Judy would do what was necessary for the family, including moving her father up from Florida to care for him at the end of his life, and also caring for her mother-in-law, Arvilla Warren, until her passing.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald H. Warren, of Bridgton, in 1988; her mom D. Audrey Smith in 1987; her foster son Bruce Morrison in 1987; her father Kempton Smith Sr. in 2003; her mother-in-law Arvilla Warren in 2006; her brother Kempton Smith Jr. in 2007; her sister Nancy Smith in 1950; and her sister Barbara Smith in 2014.
She is survived by her son Kenneth A. Dutton and his wife Debra, and granddaughter Laura Dutton; her daughter Stacey Dutton Tash, granddaughter Allyson Tash and grandson Nickolas Tash, all of Bridgton. She is also survived by her brother Timothy A Smith of Waterford; nieces Heather M. Smith of Middleton, Conn., Stephanie A. Smith of New York, N.Y., Angela Smith Jolley and Alexis Kemperlea Jolley, both of St. Petersburg, Fla.; as well as many other relatives and friends.
There will be a private burial at Forest Hills Cemetery in Bridgton.
