Jack D. Carroll
CASCO — Jack Dean Carroll, 68, of Casco, passed away at his home on Aug. 18, 2014, surrounded by his family, after a brief and intense battle with cancer.
Jack was born in Pryor, Oklahoma on Feb. 16, 1946, to Clem Bryant and Kathryn Louise (Burger) Carroll.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Christine H. (Vining) Carroll; two brothers, Jimmie Douglas Carroll (Mary), of Crown Point, Ind., Jerry Dale Carroll (Mary) of Grandview, Tex.; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Anne and Joseph William Duncan Sr. of E. Bridgewater, Mass.; son and daughters-in-laws: Christian Douglas and Lori Devir Carroll of Salem, N.H., and Lisa Marie Carroll Watson of Halifax, Mass.; six grandchildren, Christian Jack (CJ) Carroll, Alyssa Nicole Duncan, Brianna Lynne Carroll, Joseph (Joey) William Duncan Jr., Nicholas Michael Carroll, Emma Lynn Carroll and one step-grandson Alex Devir; and many nieces and nephews.
Jack was a member and Trustee of the First Congregational Church of Bridgton. He became a Master Mason in 1984, and was raised in the George Washington Memorial in Alexandria, Va.; belonged to the Wampatuck & Puritan Masonic Lodge AF & AM of East Bridgewater, Mass.; Oriental #13 Masonic Lodge AF & AM of Bridgton; was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rites, Valley of Boston; and a Shriner, belonging to the Aleppo Temple Shrine in Wilmington, Mass.
Jack enjoyed living in Maine on Thompson Lake, being outdoors, boating and camping, snowmobiling with his family and grandkids and, at the age of 65, drove NASCAR Fed-Ex Car #11 at Richard Petty Driving Experience at Loudon N.H. Motor Speedway.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the First Congregational Church, 33 South High St., Bridgton, on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 2 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at hallfuneralhomeinc.com
