HARRISON  — David H. Weir, 82, of Cape Monday Road, died Saturday morning, Dec. 22, 2012, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

He was born in Concord, Mass., a son of David and Loretta Weir. David was a graduate of Maynard High School in 1948, prior to serving as a U.S. Marine in the Korean War. For many years he was a captain on the Sudbury, Mass. Fire Dept. While working for the Fire Dept. he owned and operated his own appliance repair business. David was a member of the Naples American Legion.

He was predeceased by his son David Weir III. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Eleanor; his son Steven R. Weir and his companion Susan O'Connor; his grandson David R. Weir and his wife Crystal; his great-grandson Kameron Weir.

The Weir family would like to express their appreciation to the ICU at CMMC for the wonderful care given to David.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at the Village Cemetery in Harrison. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the New England Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., Suite #2, Norwood, MA 02062-5040. Arrangements are by Hall Funeral Home, Casco.
